TSL-511 ESL CURR&MAT DEVELOPMENT
Enables participants to examine and research modern American English in light of current linguistic theories and to identify practical applications of these theories to the teaching of English to students of diverse ethnic and linguistic backgrounds. Objectives are to acquire a greater understanding of the structure of English from a modern day linguistic perspective and to analyze the structure of English in contrast with the language of the target population in a given class.
