SES-602 ADV.STUD. STRENGHT CONDITION

This course incorporates knowledge of exercise physiology and biomechanics into the study of the most current topics in strength and conditioning, as it applies to athletes at all levels. The course utilizes the foundational knowledge in exercise physiology and biomechanics to enhance sport performance and prevent athletic injuries. The course focuses on the application of biomechanics and exercise physiology concepts in the development of periodized training programs to different sports at different training environments. Emphasis is placed on the scientific aspect of coaching safe and effective exercises through the following topics; proper adaption of training program and exercises to meet the athlete goals, progressing the exercises and training programs based on well-rounded periodized program, identification of incorrect techniques and of chronic overuse injuries and develop strategies to avoid them.
