PHA-605D PHYSICAL DIAGNOSIS II

Introduction to and development of techniques in the common and basic components of physical and laboratory examinations, techniques of interviewing and history taking, and the care of the patient in all fields of medicine. In addition to the vital communication skills required to meet patient's needs, SPM 605C emphasizes the organization and integration of the collected information ("clinical data") into the written medical record. The course also introduces the student to the process of clinical reasoning and the skill of differential diagnosis. Prerequisites/Co-requisites: satisfactory completion of the first course is a prerequisite for the second and the second for the third. Also includes EKG and laboratory medicine. Lecture and lab.
