MPH-652 DIVERSITY IN WORKPLACE

With an increase in the diversity of the American workforce and the strategic trend toward globalization as well as accessing intra-cultural markets, managers must cope with a new pluralistic workplace. The course explores the training and development of a culturally sensitive work force. It examines and explores innovative techniques for dealing with institutional "isms" (e.g., sexism, ageism, etc.) as they relate to organizations, including management training, conflict resolution, mentoring, performance appraisals and team-building.
