LAW-6321 ADVANCED LEGAL WRITING
This course concentrates on the advanced drafting of pleadings and memoranda of law, building upon and extending the legal research, writing, and analytical skills acquired in the legal research and legal writing courses. Documents will be drafted to include a complaint, an answer and interrogatories. The use of state or federal rules of civil procedure will have as its focus the making of a pleading rather than the interpretation and construction of the relevant statue. The legal problems presented are designed to expose law students to the writing of documents they will use in practice to solve a client's problem.
