LAW-6251 ADV EMPLOYMENT DISCRIMINATION

This course will provide in-depth exploration of selected issues in employment discrimination. In addition to studying the law, the class will explore issues of public policy and the jurisprudence relevant to discrimination laws. We will also do some comparison of the American approach to discrimination to that of other nations. Possible areas of exploration include discrimination based upon race, sex, religion, national origin, sexual preference, age and disability. Students will read law review articles and other resources, as well as cases. This is a paper course that will provide an opportunity to meet the Law School writing requirement. Employment Discrimination Law is highly recommended as a prerequisite. Students who have not completed a basic course in Employment Discrimination Law must obtain the permission of the instructor.
