LAW-6226 MOOT COURT SEMINAR

This intensive seminar is designed as a prerequisite for participation on any Barry U School of Law interscholastic moot court competition team. The program will be structured to simulate a prototypical moot court competition with students working on actual problems from one of several substantive areas. Students will learn how to attack the problem from the day it arrives in the mail to oral argument. Special attention will be paid to how you approach the research and prepare for writing the brief. Using these skills, students will research, write, edit and revise an appellate brief in accord with typical competition rules. They will train for and engage in oral argument. (3 hrs per week, 5 consecutive weeks. This is a pass/fail course.
