LAW-6174 ADOPTION LAW

The course offers an overview of the adoption process, examining the legal, practical and emotional aspects of private and state adoptions, including intrastate, interstate, state-federal, and international aspects of adoption. The course examines representative child protection agencies and the Adoption and Safe Families Act of 1997, as well as new reproductive technology. The course satisfies the Advanced Course component of the Certificate in Children's and Family Law.
