LAW-5020 LEGAL RESEARCH AND WRITING 2

Part two of this course introduces students to administrative rules, legislative history, and to the secondary sources of legal research, such as law review articles and legal encyclopedias. While continuing to develop research skills, the course concentrates on persuasive legal writing as students now write drafts of a motion memorandum and an appellate brief. Students also receive instruction and practice in presenting oral arguments. Prerequisites: Legal Research & Writing I or Legal Analysis
