CHEM 3387 Biochemistry I Honors

A discussion of the structural and functional viewpoint of biological macromolecules including proteins, carbohydrates and nucleic acids and the techniques used in their study. The course material will also include study of energy yielding metabolic pathways such as glycolysis, the Krebs cycle, fatty acid oxidation and oxidative phosphorylation. Open to students enrolled in the Honors Studies Program or by permission of the instructor.

CHEM 2323 Organic I and admission to honors program, and consent of the instructor.
