PHYS 8352 Advanced Computational Physics

The course continues the material covered in PHYS 6352. It is based on Matlab, the language specifically developed for scientific computing and engineering applications. The topics include but are not limited to summation, integration, and solution of differential equations. The course also covers a substantial part of data analysis, including Sampling and Aliasing (Nyquist Theorem), Fourier Analysis, Power Spectrum Density, and Spectrograms. The course also covers the fundamentals of Digital Filter Techniques with applications to Linear Systems commonly appearing in physics and engineering.
