REHS 4355 Multicultural Issues in Human Services

This is a multidisciplinary course with the purpose of providing students with an overview of the complex relationship between culture and values. Students will develop an awareness of their personal values, the roles of culture race and gender, and how those interrelationships are reflected in the human services. Students will develop an awareness of and the ability to articulate cross-cultural perspectives on social, psychological, educational, cultural, and interpersonal issues. The course includes conceptual models for resolving cross-cultural conflicts.
