Admission Requirements

Students are eligible to apply to the certificate program when they have earned 30 or more credit hours, a minimum cumulative GPA no less than 2.75, and successfully completed with a minimum grade of C the two Introductory Biology (BIOL 1406 and BIOL 1407) classes at UTRGV (or have transferred in equivalent credit). To apply, students will be required to fill out and submit the required application materials to the Department Chair of Biology.

Progression Requirements

Students must maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.75 and a minimum grade of B on all coursework required for the certificate.

Graduation Requirements

Students must earn a minimum grade of B on all coursework required for the certificate.
