WC 404 Christian Spirituality throughout the Centuries

This course will examine the variety of spiritualities that Christian communities have practiced throughout the history of the faith. The course will cover the historical, political, sociological and theological contexts that affected the expression of Christian faith in distinct historical eras and across geographical divisions. Additionally, the course will offer students the opportunity to participate in spiritual practices from different Christian communities. Ultimately, this course will enable students to better grasp the historical development of Christianity, the effects of culture and society on religious thinking, and connect historical spiritual traditions into their own lives.

Prerequisites

TH 200, WC 100, and Junior or Senior standing or consent of the instructor.
