SM 201 Introduction to Sport Management

This course is designed to provide major and non-major students an introduction to the field of sport management. The student will cover many of the segments in the sport industry and help generate interest for a foundation of continued study Students will study industry trends, professional preparation and career opportunities as well as learning about the structure of sport organizations. Topics include administration, marketing, financing, leadership, recreation, event and facility management and ethics.
