CR 212 Policing

This course will cover the historical and political evolution of law enforcement in the United States. Students will explore operational, organizational, and managerial concepts used to organize and operate law enforcement agencies. The course will also look at policing philosophy/psychology, police-community relations, and will include topics in international policing and future technologies used to combat and prevent crime. Legal and ethical considerations particular to law enforcement will also be presented.
