MAP 138 Medical Assisting Laboratory

Introduces the student to basic routine laboratory skills and techniques for collection, handling, and examination of laboratory specimens often encountered in the ambulatory care setting.

Prerequisite

Grade of C or higher in BIO 106 (or BIO 201 & BIO 202) and HPR 144, MAP 120 and MOT 126. Some courses can be taken as a corequisite.

Corequisite

MAP 110, MAP 120, and MOT 126.

Notes

Documentation of at least two Hepatitis B immunizations are required before the start of this course. Wearing of a watch and appropriate scrubs or lab coat is required.
