Grading

Animal care rounds will be assigned each semester you are enrolled in program courses. Attendance and participation are required and is used to calculate grades in all Veterinary Technology courses. Each Veterinary Technology course syllabus will directly reference the importance of animal care rounds. If a student is late or fails to show up for a scheduled animal care rounds duty, then the result will be a deduction from the final course grade of ONE of the semester’s courses.

Please note that students are not allowed to accrue more than 20 points in absences or tardiness each semester. Students who exceed more than 20 points in tardiness and/or absences in one semester will be dismissed from the Veterinary Technology Program and receive a failing grade for the course. If a student is dismissed and receives a failing grade, the student will need to repeat the course in the subsequent academic year, space permitting. Student progression in the program will be based on the program's re-entry policy.
