Registration and Adding Courses
Prior to registration, new students must complete and orientation and registration event. The in-person option is a two-hour event which provides relevant enrollment information and assists students with creating a class schedule. The online event consists of two parts: an online orientation completed through Desire2Learn, our online learning platform, and a 30-minute advising appointment that can be held online.
For currently enrolled students and students who have previously attended Normandale, fall registration begins mid-spring semester, and spring and summer registration begins mid-fall semester. Students are assigned a registration time (or window) based on the number of credits they have earned. Students can determine their registration window in eServices.
Students register using eServices. Registration instructions are available online and from Student Services.
For classes offered during the fall and spring semesters, students can register and add classes through the fifth day of the term (for full-semester classes) or the first business day following the first class period (for weekend classes and classes that do not meet the full semester). For classes offered during the summer, students can register and add classes through the third day of the late May/early June session (the first session of the summer semester) or the first business day following the first class period (whichever is later).
