EDU 2610 Law and Professionalism in Inclusive Settings

(formerly EDU 3610)

This course is designed to provide teacher candidates with an overview of the laws and policies governing regular and special education in the United States in terms of GOALS 2000 and IDEA ’97. The professional and pedagogical knowledge, skills and dispositions candidates need to be competent to work with diverse student learners will be examined. Current inclusionary techniques, technology tools, adaptive strategies, interventions and behavior modification vehicles for the special needs learner will be explored.
