2024-2025 Adult Education Undergraduate Student Handbook

Christian Service

An integral part of the educational process is the Christian Service, which seeks to:

  1. Help a student cultivate a desire to share Christ with those in spiritual need.
  2. Provide the student with opportunities for practical, on-the-job training in Christian ministry.

Through Christian Service, each student will:

  1. Apply Biblical principles learned in the classroom to life situations through involvement in his or her own church or para-church organization.
  2. Recognize and develop individual gifts and abilities through ministry opportunities.
  3. Demonstrate leadership, cooperation, collegiality, and mutual dependence in working with others.
  4. Participate in sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ with others.
  5. Develop communication skills and openness to change through evaluation and counsel by working under ministry supervisors or with peer evaluators within his or her church or para-church organization.

Specific requirements for Christian Service will be communicated through Student Success Coaches.
