MHC 605 Theories and Practice in Marriage and Fa

This course is designed to provide a comprehensive overview of contemporary theories and practices in family counseling. Theories addressed include psycho dynamic, humanistic, systems, structural, communication/ strategic and behavioral/cognitive approaches to working with families. Emphasis will be placed on professional issues and ethical practices in family therapy.
