The focus of this course will be on basiccriteria for categorizing mental health disordersand abnormal behavior using the most currentedition of the DSM. This course includes anexperiential component focused on the etiology,diagnosis, treatment and prevention of mental andemotional disorders and dysfunctional behavior.An emphasis will be placed on strategies topromote optimal mental health.
