Legal, ethical and professional standards ofpractice for counselors and coaches are examinedin this course. Florida statutes and ethicalprinciples of counseling, including marriage andfamily therapy, will be emphasized. Students willbe knowledgeable of the counseling professions,codes of ethics, legal considerations, andstandards of preparation as well as differencesbetween certifications and licensures andprofessional organizations.
