DSIM 510 Fundamentals Quantitative Methods
This course introduces students to basicstatistical concepts and procedures. Topics tobe covered are descriptive statistics (measuresof central tendency and dispersion), elementaryprobability, the normal distribution, estimation(confidence intervals for the mean using thenormal and t distribution), hypothesis testing ofa single mean using the normal and tdistribution, correlation and regression. Offered on a Pass/Fail basis only.
