DSIM 507 Project Management
This course introduces best practices in projectmanagement, the study of concepts, and tools ofproject management. Topics will include projectscope, project time, project cost, projectquality, project risk, project resources, projectcommunications, and how to be an effectiveproject manager. Project management software willbe used to analyze the project data, create workbreakdown structures, Gantt charts, networkdiagrams, and baseline models as well as toperform earned value analysis. PMBOK will be usedas a reference to the project managementstandards all along. Students will apply projectmanagement methods, models and business knowledgeto a business analytics project scenario.
