DSIM 501 Fundamental Quantatv Methods
This course introduces students to basicstatistical concepts and procedures. Topics tobe covered are descriptive statistics (measuresof central tendency and dispersion), elementaryprobability, the normal distribution, estimation(confidence intervals of the mean using thenormal and t-distribution), hypothesis testing ofa single mean using the normal andt-distribution, correlation and regressions. Offered on a Pass/Fail only.
