DSIM 500 Essentials of Quantitative Methods
This course introduces students to basicstatistical concepts and procedures. Topics to becovered are descriptive statistics (measures ofcentral tendency and dispersion), elementaryprobability, the normal distribution, estimation(confidence intervals for the mean using thenormal and t distribution), hypothesis testing ofa single mean using the normal and t distribution,correlation and regression.
