NURS 2352 Practice in Pediatric Care
Application of the nursing process in childcare from the stages of growth and development of the newborn to adolescence. Integration of communication skills, care management, and evidence-based practice. Emphasis on health promotion, prevention and recovery from disease. Utilization of ethical-legal aspects, diversity, equity and inclusion in care, interprofessional collaboration and management of alterations affecting functional health patterns in pediatric care. Requires a total of 90 hours of supervised practice in various scenarios.
