SOWO 7154 Group Therapy in Social Work
Application of group therapy with different theoretical frameworks to a wide range of biopsicosocial conditions in diverse populations and the role of social work in promoting behavior changes in participants. Emphasis on the cognitive-behavioral model and the strengths approach. Discussion of protocols used in social work scenarios to develop the individual transformation process, maintain cohesion, group tasks and objectives. Requires a minimum of 15 hours of lab.
