CISC 460 Project Management

An introduction to project management in the systems development life cycle. Provides an understanding of the purpose, methods, and benefits of process management by exposing the student to the concepts, practices, processes, tools, and techniques used in process management for software development. The class is project oriented, with teams focused on specific projects during the semester. Emphasis will be placed on the use of structured analysis and design techniques to produce design specifications. Student projects will focus on the programming and testing of information systems that satisfy user requirements. Offered alternate years. Prerequisites: CISC 260 or permission of the instructor.
