CRIJ 3306 Mental Health and the Justice System

This course focuses upon paradigm differenceswithin the mental health and legal systems and thechallenges associated with their intersection and integration. Mental health issues confronted by practitioners working within the justice system, risk assessments, and intervention strategies froman institutional and non-institutional perspectivewill be examined. Additionally, practitioner exposure and responses to trauma, stress, andburnout will be explored.
