Student Grievance Policy and Procedure

The University has a grievance policy and procedure for any student who may have a complaint with any aspect of the University. Details are to be found in the online student handbook, The Compass, under Section 8, Student Code of Conduct. Any complaint, whether formal or informal, should be filed with the Dean of Students or whomever is acting in the Dean's stead in the Student Development & Campus Life Office located in the Rozier Center. The staff member will address the student’s complaint and will be responsible for contacting the appropriate administrators on campus to resolve the issue. A file containing complaints will be kept in the Student Development & Campus Life office. If the complaint includes the Dean of Students or the Dean of Students is unavailable, the response will come from another officer in Student Development & Campus Life.
