NURS 300 Dimensions of Professional Nursing

This is the first course in the RN to BSN program and is designed to introduce the student to professional nursing practice. An introductory discussion of the focus of the CBU Nursing program includes AACN Baccalaureate Essentials, historical development for professional nursing, Quality and Safety Education for Nurses (QSEN), American Nurses Association (ANA) Code of Ethics, Mindfulness, Benner Novice to Expert Theory, and APA style of writing. Students will assess and develop their nursing informatics competencies. Roles and responsibilities of a RN to BSN student at CBU are also included.
