MECE 4324 Thermal Systems Design and Optimization

This course combines the fundamental theories of thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and heat transfer to model various thermal-fluid and energy systems, with a particular focus on design optimization. Topics covered by the course are: component selection under system performance requirements; computational modeling; system simulation; optimization techniques; and investment economics and statistical combinations of operating conditions.
