MEDI 9515 Social Determinants of Health Elective

In this elective you will have the opportunity to learn about social determinants of health (SDOH). To be eligible for this elective, you must have attended to 4 sessions at the SRC during your MS3 year or first half of MS4 year, and have given a relevant talk to patients (hypertension/diabetes/colon cancer screening) during one of those sessions. During your scheduled two-week elective in April, you will be expected to complete 5 online modules about SDOH (Social Determinants of Health Training Plan at TRAIN.org) and will meet with faculty once per week for discussion. You will not have any clinical duties as you would have done them already during those 4 SRC sessions. Proof of meeting objectives and a final assessment will be required.
